Set 5 - The Scottish Highlands

Scottish contemporary art pair combining urban and wild environments inspired by the recent lockdown measures, a desire to get into the highlands of Scotland, and a increased appreciation of Scotland's beauty, history, and wildlife.

1 Loch View and 3 Highland Drive were designed to work in harmony with each other. Here are some of the ways they are connected.

.The Land Rover Defender. One full size, one toy, and another toy in the Calmac ferry.
. The boat is exactly the same metal colour as the Defender.
. Nessy features in a steel bath and a steel bucket.
. Unicorn and Sea - Unicorn (the name of the boat)
. Whisky bottles. Contains a fish in Loch View and in Highland they contain Whisky, toothbrushes, and paintbrushes.
. Eagles. Golden eagle family, plus white tailed sea eagle.
. Tenement building of Highland Drive features as a sand castle in Loch View.
. The sun in amongst the weather objects is the beach ball in Loch View. The rain is also the water.
. Rainbows feature in both windows. A ref to 2020 lockdowns.
. Thistle and mini conifer plant pots feature in both gardens.
. The rubber ring is the same material as the Defenders tyres.
